Testimonials are a VERY effective marketing tool, and therefore we, as your trusted Fort Myers chiropractic advisors, have chosen NOT to use them. Let us explain. Most testimonials that are used in marketing doctors’ offices are short recommendations written by satisfied patients in an effort to convince a complete stranger to go to the particular doctor or clinic. For example, a typical testimonial would read:
Dr. XYZ is amazing. I had chronic low back pain for over 20 years. I tried everything: physical therapy, massage and even chiropractic. Nothing seemed to help. My only option was surgery. Then I met Dr. XYZ. After just a few treatments in his office I started to feel better and knew I was on the right track. Now, I have been pain free for over 6 months. Thanks, Dr. XYZ!

After reading 10 to 12 testimonial that all sound like this one, many people will be convinced that Dr. XYZ is nothing short of amazing. This conclusion, however, is based on facts that can’t be verified.
How is the reader supposed to verify that the 10 to 12 testimonials are written by real patients? What’s more, the 10-12 testimonials are usually completely positive. We know from common sense that it is nearly impossible to completely satisfy EVERYBODY. There has to be one person that has a negative testimonial? Where’s his voice? Where’s the balance?
For those of you, who buy on Ebay, let me put it to you like this. If most of every Ebay seller had 100% positive feedback and you found out that sellers were allowed to post only the feedback that they wanted to, i.e., post the positive feedback and delete the negative feedback, you wouldn’t rely on the feedback (testimonials) in determining whether a seller was trustworthy. So why would anybody be convinced by testimonials published on a doctor’s website when the doctor’s office can choose which testimonials to post on the website and the reader still has no way of verifying their legitimacy? Because of these concerns, we have chosen not to use testimonials on our website. If you would like a testimonial about our office, please ask your friends, neighbors or coworkers. We have treated thousands of patients over the past 23 years, and if you ask around, you’ll likely find one of our patients among your friends. When you do, ask them for a testimonial about our office.
